The Power Of Nap

What is the power in a nap? As the word "powernap" connotes - there is power in a nap. It's tested! Each time I take a short nap before work-out during the week days after work, my work-out is just a brisk.

What power does a nap have NOT in a night sleep? Or is there truly something in a nap NOT in the regular night sleep? As for me, short nap is as little as 20 minutes to an hour. It's so precious to me that I make a time after work to take a nap before hitting the gym and swimming pool. Again, it's tested! I feel refreshed and with a renewed energy after the nap and ready to "work for myself," which is very gratifying. On the other hand, when at work, I "work of others" which, of course, in many instances, could be a stressor of the day. (There is always stress at work, no doubt about it.)

Renewed energy from a nap makes me complete my daily workout routines which include all varieties in one workout session - active stretching, resistance training, TRX suspension cables, cables, medicine balls, power balance, and of course, swimming.

There is power in a nap. I believe, napping does not only renew the energy, but also makes the brain sharper and balances the mood, in effect, the rest of the day is productive.
